
Christy has 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of clinical settings, including The Fall River Deaconess Home, a residential and educational treatment program for adolescent females, and Hasbro Children’s Hospital, a Level I Trauma/Burn Center. In her previous roles, she has engaged children and adolescents in individual, group, and family therapy using a variety of techniques, including CBT, trauma-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness.
Christy has extensive experience working with children and families impacted by emotional, physical, and medical trauma, chronic medical conditions, and bereavement. In addition to assisting children and families in navigating and coping with acute crises, she provides clinical and therapeutic counseling for children and adolescents dealing with behavioral health concerns such as anxiety (particularly sport-related and performance anxiety), depression, PTSD, complicated grief, ADHD, and other emotional difficulties arising from social stressors. She also specializes in therapeutic counseling for postpartum depression and anxiety.
Christy is excited to join the Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics team and is committed to supporting children and families within the practice.
